Thirroul Pump House is a Thirroul Beach icon; you either love it or hate it; it’s a necessary evil as it pumps the ocean water into Thirroul Pool.

Over the years, I’ve come to love it. It’s featured in many of my photo stories and easily recognised for this location. The pump house is around 75 years old, and according to the Wollongong Council, it’s about to have a new look and a fresh coat of paint early this year.
