As the sky turned brown burnt leaves floated down, the smell of smoke haze lingered right across town.
Saturday, 21st December was like no other; I took this photo of the coastline looking north towards Thirroul Beach. The image I describe as; monotone or sepia is an art process that you would typically apply to a photo through a process or filter. But this wasn’t an effect; it was real, the reality of thick bushfire smoke at its worst, blown up and across the coast from massive bushfires burning across NSW.
The photo below shows a burnt leaf, one of many blown in from bushfires hundreds of kilometres away.
