As the smoke haze continues across Thirroul due to the bushfires, I’ve been lucky enough to photograph some spectacular Thirroul sunsets, descending upon the escarpment ridge; I named it fireball. The colour and mood is quite surreal and intense.

I also love the scale and detail in this photograph, especially when the sun is closer to the earth and the silhouette of the forest trees. I used a 200mm lens with an x2 extender to capture this shot; no filter.
