I met recently with Marty Graves owner of Magnolia Collective who took over (Boutique Thirroul) on the 25th January 2019 rebranded to Magnolia Collective. This business has been trading as a women’s boutique for over 13 years in Thirroul.
Business name & how did it come about? I’ve always loved the magnolia flower, and to me, it epitomises style which is what the boutique is all about 🙂 Collective generally refers to the business incorporating a collection, ie clothes and accessories.
Your background? I have a PA/ Secretarial / Bookkeeping / Admin background, my last job was managing an osteopathic practice in Bondi Junction for over 16 years! I grew up in Melbourne and moved to Sydney 28 years ago. I have 2 boys, 21 and 22 years old. Well, I guess they are men now 🙂
What inspired you to take-over this business? My husband and I moved to Stanwell Park 2-3 years ago from Sydney, and I had been thinking about moving my life down here completely, ie home and work life eventually. I was waiting for an opportunity to come up and out of the blue one did.
Best describe your business? Women’s clothing and accessories. With a personalised touch.
Summary of services offered if any; Friendly and helpful service 🙂
Summary of products sold; Beautiful clothes often made from natural fibres like cotton and linen to keep you fresh in the summer along with woollen knits for the winter.
Do you live locally to your business? Yes, Stanwell Park
Do you employ staff? Yes, Stephanie Robinson and Sarah Vitale (casuals)
